Technical Engineer – Pest Control Operation

Summary:
The Technical pest control engineer is the highest technical source of reference for the team. He/she should be able to plan, organize, evaluate proposed work, train the technicians’ team and estimate costs and budgets for the pest control projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
o Assess relevant information of field technicians in order to judge and determine whether treatments or processes comply with laws, regulations, and company standards.
o Providing consultation, guidance and expert advice to management and technicians in terms of the quality of the treatment.
o Prepare estimates of quantities and costs and reviews budget for each project.
o Assist in interviewing and selection of technicians.
o Provide formal training for new recruits, for proper use and safe application of chemicals.
o Supervise pest control operations and technicians’ proper performance in sites.
o Review daily technicians’ reports and ensure treatments are administered according to company standards.
o Periodically evaluate technicians, identify weak areas, plan and administer proper training where needed.
o Represents a primary source of technical reference for technicians, CEO and clients. o Prepares an action plan for pest control and takes the necessary corrective measures in the event of ineffective control equipment to provide the necessary measures to ensure the eradication of pests. o Prepares the technical specifications for the materials used and supervises their installation and preparation in order to ensure their quality. o Prepares a map of pest control system according to the nature of each place and puts signs to clarify its locations. o Monitors the inventory and costs of the materials used and works to apply the correct storage conditions in order to reduce the cost. o Follows up on the implementation of customer requests and complaints, with the aim of adhering to the time specified for implementation. o Prepares the periodic reports required for the activity (the consumption rate of pest control materials – the state of pest activity and the severity of infection in each site – corrective actions in each site … etc.) in order to ensure the implementation of the plan. o Fulfills the requirements and conditions to obtain certificates approved by the Ministry of Health for all pest control materials used.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
o Expert in pesticides and pesticide safety.
o Ability to lead and develop technicians’ team.
o Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Technical background:
o University degree in Agricultural engineering.
o 3-7 years of previous experience in pest control operation.
o Fluency in Arabic and English.
